What's It Worth?

Raymond Dragon, Chapter 73 President
Raymond Dragon, Chapter 73 President, says:

When we ask "What's it worth?" we're asking for an opinion of value. When the courts want one they swear in an appraiser as an expert witness.

ASA-accredited appraisers make credible witnesses because of their education, experience, and adherence to recognized standards, and because they subscribe to the USPAP code of ethics, established by the Appraisal Foundation.

Their appraisals are accurate (based on sound methodology), reliable (repeatable), and trustworthy (ethical).

What's it worth? Ask an ASA appraiser for an opinion of value.

2015 Holiday Party a Success
BY CHAPTER TREASURER LYNN MAGNUSSON, ASA
--
Lynn Magnusson, ASAThe chapter held it's Annual Holiday Party on January 13, 2016 in the private wine room at Lunello's Restaurant in Cedar Grove. This location has been proven to be pretty convenient for chapter members. Perhaps we've finally found a replacement venue for Pals Cabin in West Orange?

Gary SnowdonOur special guest was Regional Governor Gary Snowdon, from the Hudson Valley, NY chapter. He updated the group on the discussions taking place within the National ASA, including such topics as checking on the certifications of chapter members, encouraging candidates to advance, and educational opportunities among the disciplines. Hopefully, Gary will continue in his role representing the Region!

The members and guests were treated to a Five Star dining experience including appetizers, salads and a wide variety of creative entrees. Everyone raved about the food and service in a great environment. A friendly gift exchange among members took place amid wine tasting, toasting and recreational tippling.

The next event will be a planning meeting. The input of our chapter members is very important to the Board. Please contact a member with your questions or concerns.
